Aministration/Support – AeroMedical Co-ordinator
CareFlight is an Australian not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing the community with rapid response critical care. Over the past 24 years we have cared for and transported over 20,000 patients.
CareFlight currently provides the Northern Territory with a local helicopter aeromedical service and domestic and international jet aeromedical services. We have been engaged to provide a broader aeromedical service in the Top End of the Northern Territory from 1 July to 31 December 2010.
Expressions of interest are sought from qualified aeromedical co-ordinators to join CareFlight’s co-ordination team for an initial period of 6½ months, with the possibility of extending or transitioning into the longer term. Co-ordinators will be responsible for allocating and managing aeromedical resources across the Northern Territory’s Top End. The position will operate from a 24/7 aeromedical co-ordination centre based in Darwin and will require shiftwork.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
- qualifications, training or experience in aviation, medical and/or emergency services co-ordination
- effective interpersonal communication and problem solving skills
- strong customer service focus
- ability to function effectively as a team member in a potentially stressful environment
- IT competence in a range of applications and data entry
