The NSW Motor Accidents Authority (MAA) is proud to be a supporter of CareFlight.

The MAA monitors and supervises the Compulsory Third Party (CTP) Scheme or 'Green Slips' for all motor vehicles registered in NSW and works to provide a scheme that is affordable, fair and accessible, minimising the impact of motor vehicle accidents.

'Shopping around' for a Green Slip

The MAA has an online calculator and phone line to assist motorists to access the best Green Slip price for their individual needs.

Recent changes to the CTP Scheme

In April 2010, the CTP Scheme was expanded so that anyone injured in a motor vehicle accident (MVA) regardless of who was at fault may be eligible to quickly access up to $5,000 for reasonable and necessary medical expenses and/or lost earnings.

This can be accessed, via completion of an Accident Notification Form with the relevant Compulsory Third Party insurer, within 28 days of the motor vehicle accident.

The expansion supports early treatment intervention and prevention of adverse outcomes through prompt service delivery.
