Aeromodellers Club supports CareFlight – Saturday 9 May, 2009

A crisp and clear autumn morning greeted Aeromodellers and Spectators from far and wide for the 2009 Gosford City Aeromodellers Air Show.

A massive crowd enjoyed an action-packed day that included displays by remote control helicopters, aeroplanes, gliders, warplanes, control line flyers and even a “real” Pitts Special that flew a spectacular routine during the lunchtime break. Always popular with the kids were the many “Lolly Drops” where a small plane flew across the field and dropped lollies with streamers attached for the kids to run out and collect.

A great day was had by all.

The NRMA CareFlight Helicopter Rescue Simulator was on display at the venue with many a young future pilot taking the opportunity to “fly a mission” and enjoy the sound environment of a “real” helicopter.

A BIG thank you must go to the Gosford City Aeromodellers for again choosing NRMA CareFlight to be the official charity for the day. Your ongoing support of our services is very much appreciated.
