The Radisson Plaza Hotel was the venue for a very special event on Friday 13 June. Kenvale College event management students Karen, Alison, Cassie and Anna put on a fantastic fundraising Gala Dinner for NRMA CareFlight.
Kenvale College is renowned for its events management and hospitality courses, and the calibre of their students is exceptional – so much so that they thought to raise funds for NRMA CareFlight as a part of their “Major Event” assignment: a Gala Dinner for over 80 guests at one of Sydney's most prestigious venues.
The night was a fantastic success with wonderful entertainment, an auction, prizes galore and a guest presentation by NRMA CareFlight doctor Peter Clarke. Peter spoke about his experience as an NRMA CareFlight doctor, including his time working with the victims of the Bali Bombing. Peter's compelling speech no doubt played on the minds of all present as they bid up a storm for items including a pearl necklace, bottles of wine, beauty products and, of course, NRMA CareFlight Bears.
We would like to thank Karen, Alison, Cassie and Anna for the time and effort they put into running this wonderful event. Thanks also to the staff of Kenvale College and all the volunteers who helped along the way, including the parents and peers of the “High Flyers”. A great night and a wonderful outcome.
