Now in its 23rd year, NRMA Motorfest is held in the Sydney CBD with cars parked along the length of Macquarie and College Streets, St James Road and in Hyde Park South near the War Memorial.
NRMA Motorfest attracts more people than any other outdoor display of vehicles in the southern hemisphere and is a significant part of Australia Day celebrations.
It provides a unique opportunity for motoring enthusiasts to get up close and personal to over 1,000 veteran, vintage and classic cars, commercial & military vehicles and motor cycles on display. All vehicles must have been built before 1978.
Each year the NRMA invites CareFlight to participate and Motoring Events Manager Peter Longhurst set up the NRMA CareFlight Display for Val Mills and her team to sell merchandise.
The display was positioned right in the centre of the action at the junction of College and Macquarie Streets and St James Road just outside the Hyde Park barracks.
Brilliant weather on the day and an increased presence from the NRMA Motoring and Services Group in nearby Queens Square meant there were more spectators than usual viewing the vehicles and passing the CareFlight display.
