Passenger killed, driver injured in Condell Park crash

One man was killed and another injured when a small sedan hit a parked car then a tree at Condell Park, in Sydney’s south-west, today.

An NRMA CareFlight trauma doctor combined with ambulance paramedics to treat the injured driver while rescue officers worked to free him from the wreckage.

Emergency services were alerted to the crash on Cragg Street shortly before 5 pm.

The sedan hit another car then slammed into a parked car, pushing it at least 10 metres along the street, before hitting a tree, killing the passenger and trapping the driver.

The NRMA CareFlight doctor said the 20-year-old driver, from Condell Park, suffered chest and head injuries.

On release the man was stabilised then taken by ambulance to Liverpool Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
