An NRMA CareFlight trauma doctor has teamed with ambulance paramedics to treat a 16-year-old student hit by a car at Bligh Park, in Sydney’s west, this morning.
The boy was crossing the road near Bede Polding College when the car struck him.
The helicopter landed in the school grounds beside the accident site in Rifle Range Road just after 7.30am.
The NRMA CareFlight doctor said the boy was initially unconscious but awoke shortly after concussed and slightly confused.
He sustained only cuts and abrasions to his head.
The boy was stabilized and then flown by NRMA CareFlight to Nepean Hospital where he was in a stable condition on arrival at 8.10am.
