Just after 11.30am NRMA CareFlight’s doctor flew to Bowen Mountain, on the edge of the Blue Mountains north-west of Sydney, to team with ambulance paramedics in treating a toddler. The NRMA CareFlight doctor said the 18-month-old girl fell while trying to climb onto an exercise bike at her Waratah Street home, and was left briefly unconscious then fitting. The girl was stabilised, then, accompanied also by her mother, flown to the Westmead Children’s Hospital where she was in a stable condition on arrival just after 12.30pm. Late today the flying trauma team rushed to treat a boy at Beverley Hills, in Sydney’s south-west.
