Inner city biker's crash flight to hospital (Wisemans Ferry)

An inner Sydney man’s weekend motor bike ride ended with a flight to hospital from east of Wisemans Ferry today. An NRMA CareFlight flying trauma team combined with ambulance and police officers to treat the unconscious man beside Wisemans Ferry Road at 1.15 pm. The NRMA CareFlight doctor said the 47-year-old man was left unconscious with a severe head injury after a collision with a car. The man was given a general anaesthetic and placed on one of the helicopter’s mobile intensive care modules. He was flown to Royal North Shore Hospital to undergo further neurological examination, and was in a serious but stable condition on arrival at 4.20 pm.
