The woman was a passenger in the car which collided side-on with a truck on Roper Road at the M4 motorway intersection.

The impact left the woman initially unconscious and trapped for 40 minutes.

The NRMA CareFlight doctor said the 34-year-old woman, from the St Marys area, suffered head, chest and pelvic injuries.

On release she was further stabilised then taken under treatment by the NRMA CareFlight doctor, in a road ambulance, to Nepean Hospital where she was in a serious but stable condition on arrival.
