An injured Glenorie man was treated by an NRMA CareFlight flying trauma team at the scene of a two-car crash near his home this morning.
The helicopter landed at the crash site, on Cattai Ridge Road, to support ambulance paramedics following the alert just after 8.30 am.
The NRMA CareFlight doctor said the 24-year-old man was initially reported to be unconscious after his car careered down a two-metre deep embankment.
However he was found to be conscious and was treated for chest and back injuries.
After stabilisation the man was flown under continuing treatment by the crew doctor to Westmead Hospital where he was in a stable condition on arrival at 9.40 am.
