Bike crash into tree leaves postie Ko'd (Seven Hills)

An Australia Post mail delivery man was left initially unconscious when his bike hit at tree at Seven Hills in Sydney’s west late today.

Residents of Johnson Street alerted emergency services to the man’s plight shortly before 5 pm.

The NRMA CareFlight rapid response trauma team landed in a nearby school oval to allow the crew doctor to work with ambulance officers in treating the man.

The CareFlight doctor said the 45-year-old man suffered shoulder, chest, rib and head injuries but quickly regained consciousness.

After stabilisation he was taken in a road ambulance, under continuing treatment by the trauma doctor, to Westmead Hospital where he was in a stable condition on arrival.
