Trauma team treating unconscious fall toddler (Ingleburn)
An NRMA CareFlight doctor is working with ambulance paramedics to treat a toddler who has been left unconscious after falling from a bed at Ingleburn, in Sydney’s south-west, today. Ambulance officers alerted the rapid-response trauma team to the girl’s plight shortly after 10.30 am, with the helicopter landing minutes later in a park at Ingleburn. The CareFlight doctor, a specialist anaesthetist, has given the girl a general anaesthetic and placed her on a ventilator to control her breathing. The girl is about to be flown, under full intensive care management, to the Westmead Children’s Hospital for further assessment and ongoing care. No further information was initially available.
