Fall leaves toddler ko'd at Minto
A toddler was left unconscious for 20 minutes when he fell from a sofa at Minto, in Sydney’s south-west, this evening. Ambulance paramedics and a NRMA CareFlight doctor rushed to the house at Minto Road when family members alerted ambulance officers to the boy’s plight shortly before 5 pm. The NRMA CareFlight doctor said a local doctor, a neighbour, was treating the 19-month-old boy when emergency services arrived to find he had regained consciousness. As a precaution the CareFlight doctor accompanied the toddler as he was taken in a road ambulance to the Westmead Children’s Hospital for neurological observation where he was in a stable condition on arrival.
