A man was left unconscious with head and shoulder injuries from a tractor mishap at Macquarie Fields in Sydney’s south-west late today. Emergency services and an NRMA CareFlight trauma team rushed to the property at Edgar Street following a “000” alert to the ambulance service shortly after 5 pm. The NRMA CareFlight doctor said the 65-year-old man became caught in the power take off of his tractor while digging post holes at his property. He suffered serious head, shoulder and arm injures. After stabilisation the man was taken to Liverpool Hospital where he remained in a serious condition on arrival.
