Intensive effort unable to revive bike rider (Eastern Creek)

An intensive effort by emergency services was unable to revive a motor bike rider who crashed at Eastern Creek, in Sydney's west, this evening.

Ambulance paramedics, police and the NRMA CareFlight rapid response critical care team rushed to the rider at Ferrers Road, outside gate 7 of the Eastern Creek International Raceway, shortly after 6.30 pm.

They found the rider, a man believed to be aged about 40, had crashed off the road and into a fence.

The trauma doctor landed at the scene 11 minutes after the crash was reported to emergency services to team with ambulance paramedics in treating the man.

Unfortunately the man could not be revived.

The crash happened at a stretch of road which local residents told the NRMA CareFlight crew is a notorious black spot for motor vehicle crashes.

Police are conducting investigations.
