Supporting the Ambulance Service, an NRMA CareFlight rapid response trauma team flew to treat separate toddlers injured in Sydney's north today.
A two-year-old boy was lucky to escape serious injury when he fell three metres from a first floor window at Killara late this afternoon.
Ambulance, police and the NRMA CareFlight trauma team rushed to the Grassmere Road house when the boy's mother raised the alarm.
The NRMA CareFlight doctor said the boy apparently fell through a flyscreen when the upstairs window was opened, but landed on garden bushes and remained conscious.
After assessment the boy was taken by road ambulance, under continuing observation by the doctor, to Westmead Children's Hospital where he was in a stable condition on arrival.
