Auto yard fall leaves man unconscious at Smithfield
A man was left unconscious when he fell four metres onto concrete at an auto parts wrecking yard at Smithfield, in Sydney's south-west, today.
Ambulance paramedics and the NRMA CareFlight doctor treated the man at the Percival Road yard shortly before midday.
The NRMA CareFlight doctor said the 43-year-old man regained consciousness and was treated for head, arm and back injuries.
He was taken under treatment by road ambulance to Westmead Hospital where he remained in a serious condition on arrival.
