Bridge landing for Alfords Pt peak hour crash

A three-car crash which blocked Alfords Point bridge during the afternoon peak hour in southern Sydney allowed an NRMA CareFlight trauma team to land at the scene late today.

The CareFlight doctor worked with ambulance paramedics to treat four patients who suffered minor injuries.

Ambulance officers called NRMA CareFlight to the scene shortly after being alerted to the crash at 5.13 pm.

The CareFlight doctor said a 15-year-old boy, from Wattle Grove, was flown to Liverpool Hospital for further assessment of neck injuries.

The boy was in a stable condition on arrival at the hospital at 6.20 pm.
