A boy suffered severe cuts when he walked through a plate glass door at his Palm Beach home, on Sydney's northern beaches, today.
Ambulance paramedics and an NRMA CareFlight doctor teamed to treat the boy who received deep cuts to his right arm and leg.
The NRMA CareFlight doctor said the nine-year-old boy was listening to his iPod when he walked through the door.
After stabilisation he was taken by ambulance from his Iluka Road home to a nearby park where the helicopter landed shortly after the alert at 12.30 pm.
The boy was flown to the Sydney Children's Hospital to undergo microsurgery where he was in a stable condition on arrival at 1.50 pm.
