A toddler has suffered critical injuries in a car crash at Campbelltown in Sydney's south-west tonight.
Police, ambulance paramedics and an NRMA CareFlight trauma team rushed to the M5, just south of the Campbelltown Road overpass, following the initial alert shortly before 7 pm.
The two-year-old girl was injured despite being in a capsule in the rear seat of one car.
Other occupants suffered minor injuries.
Police officers reached the scene and applied CPR to the girl who was in cardiac arrest.
The girl was taken, in a road ambulance, to Liverpool Hospital as the paramedics and doctor continued resuscitation.
