Autumn cleanup leaves man injured in roof fall at Kenthurst

A man was injured when he plunged four metres from the roof to the ground while cleaning the gutters of his house at Kenthurst, in Sydney's north-west, today.

Ambulance officers alerted the NRMA CareFlight rapid response trauma team to the man's plight shortly after 3 pm.

The helicopter landed in a neighbour's property in Burrell Road to allow the CareFlight doctor to work with ambulance paramedics in stabilising the man.

The CareFlight doctor said the 58-year-old man suffered multiple injuries but remained conscious.

After stabilisation the CareFlight doctor will continue treatment as the man is taken, in a road ambulance, to Westmead Hospital for further assessment.
