Receiving treatment in the first five to ten minutes after an accident can mean the difference between life and death. But knowing what that treatment should be is often the missing link for people who are first to arrive at the scene of an accident. CareFlight’s MediSim course arms first responders with the confidence, knowledge and skills to make those first 5-10 minutes count by keeping the patient alive until help arrives.
This year, we are raising funds to help deliver our award-winning MediSim courses to Australia’s emergency first responders. These responders are often the first to arrive at the scene of a medical emergency – especially in remote and regional areas. The vital training provided by CareFlight, equips them with skills to help save lives, even before a road ambulance or rescue helicopter arrives at the scene of the emergency.
