A 52-year-old man has been flown to Royal North Shore Hospital this afternoon after the car he was driving collided with another car on Woy Woy Road on the Central Coast.

CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was tasked at 4.04PM and landed on Woy Woy Road near the crash scene.

NSW Ambulance paramedics provided initial treatment for the man and on arrival, CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic administered additional medical care for the man who sustained limb, torso and facial injuries.

The patient was transported via road ambulance from the scene to Kariong Oval where he was transferred into the helicopter. CareFight’s clinical team accompanied the man for the trip to Royal North Shore Hospital. He was in a stable condition.

Special thanks to NSW Police for their assistance with landing and to Fire and Rescue NSW crews who also attended the scene.
