Man airlifted after being trapped under tree

A man in his 50s has been airlifted to hospital with a suspected spinal injury after he was trapped under a tree in Wentworth Falls.

It’s understood the man was cutting down trees when he became trapped.

CareFlight’s rapid response helicopter landed at Pitt Park shortly after 10.30am, where NSW Police were waiting to take the medical crew to the scene on Redfern Street.

The patient was treated on scene and airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital with suspected spinal injuries.
