Man airlifted after two car crash

A man in his 40s has been airlifted to hospital after he was involved in a two car collision in Ourimbah this afternoon.

The patient was trapped in one of the cars for about 20 minutes before being freed by emergency services.

He suffered leg and abdominal injuries as a result of the crash.

CareFlight’s rapid response helicopter landed at a soccer oval close to the scene shortly before 2pm.

The medical team treated the patient at the scene before airlifting him in a stable condition to Royal North Shore Hospital.
