Man crushed under tow-truck

A man aged in his 60 suffered multiple injuries when a truck fell and rolled over him in Putney this afternoon.

The man was working under the truck while it was on jacks when it fell and rolled downhill.

CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was tasked to the incident at around 12.30pm, landing at Morrison Bay Park, metres from where the man remained trapped under the vehicle.

Ambulance crews were also on scene.

CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic treated the man for multiple fractures.

The medical team continued treating the man as they accompanied him in a road ambulance to hospital.

The man was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.
