At last – the Bavarian Bier Cafe has opened its doors in Parramatta and to celebrate they're hosting a very special “CareFlight Night”. 100% of all income from this event will be donated to NRMA CareFlight, so come along and enjoy a wonderful night with the CareFlight team. more
CareFlight Community Day at Tahmoor – Sunday 14 September, 2008
This will be the third annual Community Day held on the Oval of the Southern Highlands town of Tahmoor. In 2007 the community day raised over $40,000 for NRMA CareFlight.The day is a true community event attended by several thousand people and organised by Di Clarke from NRMA Picton, Di Lange of Tahmoor Town Centre and an enthusiastic committee.
CareFlight 4WD Venture – Friday 12 to Sunday 14 September, 2008

Wentworth Falls Golf day – Wednesday 19 November, 2008
This Golf Day has over the years proved to be a very popular fundraiser for NRMA CareFlight. Teams come from local NRMA staff and local golfers as well as sponsors from local businesses and the club. In 2007, 120 golfers took to the fairways driving, hacking, slicing and putting their way around the course with varying degrees of expertise.

CareFlight Motorbike Venture – Saturday 19 to Sunday 20 July, 2008
After a year's break the (in)famous NRMA CareFlight Motorbike Venture returned in July 2008 with a new format, riding from the CareFlight base in Westmead up the wonderful Putty Road to Denman for an overnight party to help raise funds for NRMA CareFlight. more
Woodford to Glenbrook – Sunday 29 June, 2008
Over 1000 mountain bikers, runners and walkers took part in the annual 25 km Woodford to Glenbrook Classic in the Blue Mountains on Sunday 29 June, raising funds for NRMA CareFlight. more

NRMA Youth Road Trauma Forum – Wednesday 14 to Friday 16 May, 2008
The NRMA Youth and Road Trauma Forum is an injury prevention program open to students in years 10 to 12 in all government and non-government high schools in NSW and the ACT. NRMA CareFlight participated again in 2008 to help educate students and reduce the instances of serious injury and deaths on our roads. more
The Remarkable Rockets Marathon Show – Saturday 12th April, 2008
A marathon effort by Blue Mountains band the Remarkable Rockets has boosted support for the Westmead Children’s Hospital and NRMA CareFlight’s trauma service. The marathon fundraiser, which received great support from the community, ran for 12 hours in the Old City Bank Piano Bar at the Carrington Hotel. more
Model Planes fly for NRMA CareFlight – Saturday 12 April, 2008
The Gosford City Aeromodellers Club held an open day at their flying field in Narara on the Central Coast and made a great contribution to NRMA CareFlight by donating all proceeds of the 'AirShow'. more
Bowral Golf Day – Thursday 3 April, 2008
Thursday 3rd April 2008 saw the return of the popular 'Bowral Golf Day' at the Moss Vale Country Club. Peter Wheeler, proprieter of the Bowral NRMA, worked day and night to put on a day of fun and festivities including a monster auction, raffles, on-course competitions and a sumptuous dinner after the golf. The event was well supported by staff and suppliers of NRMA, and significant funds were raised for NRMA CareFlight.
Beach Cricket in Hay – Saturday 22 March, 2008
Situated 735 kilometres south west of Sydney, Hay is not renowned for its beaches! The only waves Hay sees are heat waves when the temperature reaches over 40 degrees for several days. However, despite the lack of a beach, Hay hosted its first ever game of six-a-side beach cricket on Easter Saturday as a fundraiser for NRMA CareFlight. more
Charles Sturt University Campuses support CareFlight – February, 2008
Orientation Week was all about NRMA CareFlight this year at the five Campus’ of Charles Sturt University. Students in Bathurst, Orange, Dubbo, Albury and Wagga Wagga participated in the fundraiser by selling CareFlight Bears, Wristbands, Drink Holders and Lanyards. There were lots of raffles and activities on all campus’ at the event which ran from 11 to 15 February, 2008. Over 180 students assisted in raising funds from the many thousands of participants involved in Orientation Week. Charles Sturt University will be presenting a cheque to NRMA CareFlight on Monday 31 March at the Bathurst Campus of the University. Our thanks go to all involved.
IGA hits hole in one for NRMA CareFlight – February, 2008
The 2008 IGA Local Heroes Regional Charity Golf Day was the biggest yet raising close to $40,000. It’s IGA’s seventh year running the day with NRMA CareFlight as the nominated charity. more
NRMA Motorfest – Saturday 26 January, 2008
Now in its 23rd year, NRMA Motorfest is held in the Sydney CBD with cars parked along the length of Macquarie and College Streets, St James Road and in Hyde Park South near the War Memorial. Each year the NRMA invites CareFlight to participate and set up a CareFlight display. more
Sydney Christmas Parade – Sunday 25 November, 2007
An NRMA CareFlight float rocketed along George Street this weekend when we took part in Sydney’s first Christmas Parade, based on the long running Macy’s Parade through New York. Tens of thousands of people turned out to witness the event, which featured more than two dozen floats. more
4WD Venture – Friday 16 to Saturday 17 November, 2007
The inaugural NRMA CareFlight 4WD Venture got underway on Friday 16th November, taking us on a fantastic discovery adventure along the Colo River Trail, the Commissioner Road and Stockton Beach.

Wisemans Ferry Golf Day – Tuesday 13 November, 2007
The Wisemans Ferry Community Golf day provided a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the rustic location and the golf course on the banks of the Hawkebury River. Attracting nearly 100 golfers, the event raised over $35,000 for CareFlight. more
Oktoberfest –Thursday 1 November, 2007
More than 500 guests responded to the invitation issued by John and Sandy Szangolies to "come to the party" at the NRMA CareFlight Oktoberfest, turning it into the most successful fundraising event in our 22-year history. more
Tahmoor Community Day – Saturday 15 September, 2007
Tahmoor hosted their second annual Community Day in September this year, raising nearly $42,000 for NRMA CareFlight. The hugely successful event was part gourmet delight, part musical extravaganza, part display and part fair. more
