A 17-year-old male has sustained critical head injuries after his road motorcycle collided with a tree on the Quakers Hill Parkway, Quakers Hill.
The teenager lost consciousness from the collision.
CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance just before 12:10pm, landing 15 minutes later in a reserve close to the incident.
NSW Police escorted CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic to the scene of the incident where NSW Ambulance paramedics were providing initial treatment.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic intubated the patient and placed him in an induced coma to stabilise him.
The patient was transported in a critical condition by NSW Ambulance to Westmead Hospital under ongoing observation from CareFlight’s clinical team.
