A 41-year-old man has been transported to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition this morning after a boat explosion in Drummoyne.
CareFlight’s rapid response helicopter was tasked at 8.45am, and the crew, including doctor and intensive care paramedic, flew to Drummoyne, landing in nearby Brett Park just minutes later.
According to our team on the scene, the man sustained burns to about 30 percent of his body from the blast.
Police and Ambulance crews were also at the scene and CareFlight’s medical team continued to treat the man in a road ambulance on the short journey to Royal North Shore Hospital for specialist burns treatment.
