A 43-year-old male has been airlifted to hospital in a stable condition after a motorcycle accident in Maroota this morning.
It’s understood two motorcycles were travelling at around 80km/h on the Old Northern Road when they were involved in a collision with a tractor.
Rural Fire Service crews were on scene responding when CareFlight’s helicopter landed in a paddock beside the road.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic treated one man for a suspected limb fracture.
He was airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
An Ambulance team treated the second rider and transported the patient to hospital by road.
