A 33-year-old woman was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital after being injured as a result of an explosion near a BBQ in Clontarf.
CareFlight’s rapid response helicopter was called to Sandy Bay Reserve shortly before 1.40pm this afternoon.
The helicopter dropped the medical crew at the scene where they joined NSW Ambulance and treated the woman for burns.
The patient was transported in a stable condition, by NSW Ambulance to Royal North Shore Hospital. The CareFlight medical crew accompanied the patient in the road ambulance.
