On Friday, 12 December shortly before 10.00am the Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to Blacktown, where a woman aged in her 30s was trapped in her car following a collision with a truck.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the woman while she remained trapped and as she was freed with the assistance of Fire and Rescue NSW.
The woman was transported by road ambulance to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
The woman’s infant daughter, who was a rear passenger, was taken by road ambulance to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a stable condition.
