A 21-year-old woman was lucky to escape with just cuts and grazes after she was involved in a car crash in Eastwood this morning.

CareFlight’s medical crew found the patient in her car which was upside down when they arrived on the scene shortly before 8.30am.

The rapid response helicopter landed at nearby Eastwood Park and the specialist doctor and intensive care paramedic rushed to the patient.

She was treated on scene for minor injuries and transported by NSW Ambulance, with CareFlight’s doctor and paramedic on board, to Westmead Hospital.

NSW Police and Fire and Rescue NSW were also on scene.
