A 70-year-man has fallen through a building’s roof onto concrete at a plant nursery in Western Sydney University Hawkesbury and sustained potential spinal injuries.

CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was tasked shortly after 10:00am and landed 15 minutes later in a paddock by the university. NSW Police escorted the aeromedical team to the scene of the incident where NSW Ambulance paramedics were providing initial treatment.

CareFlight’s specialist doctor assessed the man for his injuries and stabilised him for transport by road ambulance. The man was transported in a stable condition to Westmead Hospital under ongoing observation from CareFlight’s clinical team.
