A 23-year-old arborist has been injured after he fell 4-6 metres from a tree in a Berowra residence.
The man sustained injuries to his face and elbow after he fell on his head.
CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was tasked shortly after 12:30PM and landed in Berowra Oval. NSW Police escorted CareFlight’s aeromedical crew to the scene of the incident where NSW Ambulance paramedics were providing initial treatment to the patient.
Fire and Rescue NSW was also at the scene of the incident to help the medical teams reach the patient.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic intubated the man and placed him in a medically induced coma at the scene.
The man was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital by road ambulance under ongoing treatment by CareFlight’s medical team.
