A 14-year-old girl has been flown to Westmead Children’s Hospital after she fell off a horse in South Maroota earlier this afternoon.

The girl was riding when she fell off and injured her arm.

CareFlight’s rapid response helicopter was tasked, landing at the property next to the patient.

NSW Ambulance crews provided initial treatment for the girl, before CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic treated the girl’s injury on the field.

The patient was then loaded into the helicopter and flown to Westmead Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.

Shortly after transporting the patient to hospital, the crew was flying to a car crash in Vacy.

A 24-year-old man was driving when his car collided with a tree, leaving him with significant limb injuries.

NSW Ambulance provided initial treatment for the man.

CareFlight’s rapid response helicopter was tasked, landing on a field in the area.

CareFlight’s medical team continued to provide treatment for the man before he was airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.

NSW Police also attended.
