A seven-year-old boy has fallen out of a truck at an intersection in Riverstone and fallen on the guardrail.
It is understood that the boy fell from the vehicle and sustained a head injury when the truck turned.
CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was tasked at 1:24pm and landed less than ten minutes later by the scene of the incident where NSW Ambulance paramedics were providing initial treatment for the boy’s head injury and loss of consciousness.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic assessed the patient’s condition and prepared him for transport to hospital.
The boy was taken by road ambulance in a stable condition to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead under ongoing observation from CareFlight’s clinical team.
