A boy was airlifted to hospital in a stable condition after crashing from his BMX on a race track and hitting his head in Terrey Hills yesterday afternoon.
The Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance shortly after 1.00pm and landed at the scene.
NSW Ambulance paramedics worked alongside CareFlight’s medical team to treat the boy.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and a NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic performed a clinical assessment, including ultrasound, and treated the boy for head injuries.
The boy was airlifted to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a stable condition.
