A 16-year-old male has been airlifted to hospital in a stable condition following a car accident on the Central Coast this afternoon.
The car was traveling along a dirt road when it rolled over on its left, with the front passenger’s arm directly crushed while gripping from outside the window during the impact.
CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was tasked to Patonga shortly before 5.00pm, landing in a park just down the road from the scene.
A NSW Ambulance crew transported the patient to the helicopter landing site to meet the medical crew.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and intensive care paramedic provided treatment at the scene, including for what was suspected to be multiple serious fractures to the young male’s left arm.
He was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
