A 29-year-old man has been taken to hospital in a stable condition following a car and truck crash in Windsor this afternoon.

The man was initially knocked unconscious after the car he was driving was involved in the collision with the front of a truck.

CareFlight’s rapid response rescue helicopter was tasked to help shortly before 12.30pm, landing in park near the scene.

Ambulance crews on scene provided initial treatment to the man.

CareFlight’s specialist doctor and critical care paramedic further assessed the man’s head injuries as he regained consciousness at the scene.

The CareFlight medical team continued to provide care as they escorted the patient in a road ambulance to hospital in a stable condition.
