On Sunday 3 May, around 3.30pm the Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to Castlereagh where a man aged in his 40s was injured when multiple motorbikes collided during an organised racing event.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man, the rider of one of the motorbikes, on scene for significant chest and lung injuries.
The man was flown to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
