CareFlight has flown to Dundee Beach this afternoon to treat a 54-year-old man who sustained leg injuries after the buggy he was riding rolled over.

CareFlight was tasked just before 2.45pm, sending the Top End Rescue Helicopter directly to the scene, landing close to the scene just an hour later.

CareFlight, operating the Top End Medical Retrieval Service on behalf of the Northern Territory Government, sent a doctor and flight nurse to provide treatment to the man, who had a suspected compound leg fracture.

The man was taken by helicopter to Royal Darwin Hospital in a stable condition for additional treatment for his injuries.
