On Monday 22 July shortly after 8am the Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to a motorcycle accident on the M4 Motorway at Prospect. The rider sustained serious injuries in the accident.
NSW Police cleared a landing area on the motorway allowing the Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter to land at the scene and reach the patient. CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the patient at the scene. The patient was transported by road ambulance accompanied by CareFlight’s specialist doctor to Westmead in a critical condition.
