On Monday, 11 August shortly after 9am the Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance after a multi-vehicle accident on the M7 Motorway near the Light Horseman Interchange in Eastern Creek which left a female in her 20s trapped in a car.
The car was crushed between two trucks trapping the patient in her vehicle for around an hour. NSW Police closed a section of the M7 motorway enabling the CareFlight crew to land at the scene.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance paramedics provided critical care while Fire and Rescue NSW worked to free the patient from the vehicle. The patient was then transported by NSW Ambulance via road to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.
