On Thursday, 13 March, shortly after 4pm, the Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to a two-car collision in Appin.
NSW Ambulance paramedics and CareFlight’s specialist doctor treated two patients at the scene. CareFlight transported one patient, a male in his 40s, to Liverpool Hospital in a critical condition with head and pelvic injuries.
The second patient was transported by Toll Helicopter for further care.
