On Sunday, 25 May, shortly before 11:00am, the Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to Hornsby Heights where a female child had been hit by a car traveling at speed while she was walking across a road.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the girl for serious head injuries before she was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
The patient was transported by road ambulance while under ongoing treatment from the CareFlight doctor and NSW Ambulance paramedics, to the Children’s Hospital at Westmead.
