CareFlight responded to a five vehicle accident this afternoon at Wentworth Falls.
The Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance shortly after 1pm yesterday on 22 February to assist in a five vehicle accident at Wentworth Falls. NSW Ambulance crews were also on the scene providing care to other patients.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic provided treatment to a male driver in his 60s who suffered head, chest and arm injuries. The patient was taken by air to Westmead Hospital in a serious but stable condition with ongoing treatment by CareFlight’s specialist doctor.
NSW Fire and Rescue, NSW Police and NSW Police Rescue were also on scene.
