At about 4pm Sunday 12 November, the Mounties Care CareFlight Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to attend the near drowning of a child at a swimming facility in Ryde.
The patient was provided first aid by lifeguards and treated at the scene by CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance paramedics. The child was then accompanied by the CareFlight specialist doctor by road ambulance to Westmead Childrens Hospital in a stable condition.
