A 50-year-old man has been airlifted to hospital following a collision between his bicycle and a car in Wentworth Falls, Blue Mountains.
The cyclist sustained injuries and fractures to his upper and lower limbs.
CareFlight’s Rapid Response Helicopter was tasked shortly after 8:40am from the Westmead hangar and landed less than half an hour later in a golf course in Wentworth Falls Country Club where NSW Ambulance paramedics had transported the patient.
CareFlight’s specialist doctor and NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic assessed the patient and provided further treatment.
The man was airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition under ongoing observation from CareFlight’s aeromedical crew.
